Cosmetic storage - how to keep your products firmly!

You want to use your beauty favorites for as long as possible, but you don't know how to store them properly? No problem. We have great tips and tricks for you about the shelf life and storage of cosmetics.

Cosmetic products love it cool and dry

Warm heating air, rays of the sun flashing through the bathroom window or the steam in the bathroom after a shower: there can be many causes if the consistency of the cream changes. If the beauty product becomes too warm, combined components such as oil, wax and water separate. To avoid this, storage is crucial for the effect and longevity of the products. It is therefore best to store your beauty treasures in the closet, in the drawer or in a dark, cool place in the bathroom. However, if something breaks down, don't panic - that's not bad at all. Simply shake or stir the cream with a spatula so that the consistencies recombine and continue using your cream as usual.

Cleanliness and hygiene

Before using your beauty product, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent bacteria from getting into the cream. It is an advantage if you take the cream from the jar professionally with a cosmetic spatula or a Q-tip instead of your fingers. Many cosmetic products are already filled in airless dispenser pump bottles. The pump system precisely doses creams, gels or serums, no germs or air get into the product and the shelf life is extended.

You have pumped several times, but no product comes out of the dispenser? Please keep pumping, if nothing happens, hit the product on the back of your hand once, the pressure pump opens and nothing should stand in the way of using it. Probably the simplest tip for a long shelf life of a product is to seal it properly. Please ensure that you close the jar or bottle immediately after use, especially if steam has formed in the bathroom.

How do you recognize the shelf life after opening a product?

Would you like to know how long your beauty product will last? Look for an open jar on the back of your product. The figure shows how many months your cream or serum will keep after opening. If an hourglass is shown on the packaging, the product generally lasts longer than 30 months.
